Generally when we think about Flash effects and animations we mostly take in account its ability to play frame sequences. However, Adobe Flash has a very strong support for coded effects thru its ActionScript language.

The purpose of this tutorial website is to explain the basics of the filter class with direct implementations. Although you are free to use them, the samples included are not meant to be used in production, rather these examples had been developed for educational purposes.
